Resumen
Sobre mí
Hello! My name is Eliana. I’m 26 years old. I’m a nomadic, multidisciplinary artist who wanders around this beautiful and magnificent planet trying to make sense of it all. I studied circus arts in Quebec City and have worked as a professional circus artist for a number of years, though lately I’ve been stepping back from that a bit in order to explore some other interests. I’m a part time student, studying Anthropology and Environmental Sustainability through Southern New Hampshire University. I’m really interested in the role of the arts in dealing with the climate crisis and how the cultural narratives embedded in my work and in the social world around me can be reimagined to create a better world for organisms of all kind.
A few more things about me:
I love long train rides, stormy weather and pine forests. I love being outside, hiking, camping, climbing, and have recently started learning how to snowboard (and am loving it). I love languages. I learned German from my father while growing up, I learned French while living and studying in French Canada, and I’m currently learning Spanish in preparation for an internship I will be doing in Peru in the fall. I love cooking, especially for other people. I like dancing, playing music and photography. I love animals, especially my dog. I’m very calm, laid back, clean, curious, adaptable, and always eager to explore and try new things. I don't drink alcohol because it doesn't agree with my body. I’m not much of a partier, I prefer a cup of tea and a good book or conversation to a night out.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
Because the best part of traveling (and of life) is the people you meet and the memories you make together.

Música, películas y libros
Daniel Quinn is probably my favorite author. His book Ishmael changed my life, and every other book I’ve read from him has been an eyeopening and soul enriching journey. I also really love Brida by Paulo Coelho and Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg.
I have fairly broad tastes when it comes to music. Some of my favorite artists at the moment are Von Wegen Lisbeth, Asaf Avidan, Bomba Estéreo, Jeremy Dutcher, Luke Wallace, AnnenMayKantereit, and Nahko and Medicine for the People.
As far as films go, I really enjoy nature documentaries and animated films. One of my favorite animated films is Your Name by Makoto Shinkai. I also enjoy watching anime, some favorites being Attack on Titan, Mushishi and Violet Evergarden. I also really love the show Jane the Virgin.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I toured all over the US with the Broadway musical Pippin as part of their acrobatic ensemble and as circus captain. Saw some incredible places, made some incredible friends, learned a lot about people and about myself, and lived through countless onstage mishaps both scary and hilarious.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I will happily cook for and/or with you, always up for a good music jam, I can teach you how to juggle or help you with your handstands, or just some good conversations and story sharing over a cup of tea :)
