About Me

Hello everyone!

My name is Elianne, I study art therapy and I love history, especially the 18th century. I've got many interests and I want to be able to do everything by myself. But because of that I keep all my options open and never give myself the opportunity to connect with something and to really invest in it. So I want to explore what I really really would like to do and to really go for it.
I live together with my husband and we like to play Dungeons and Dragons with our friends once every week. We also like to play boardgames, though I'm a bit terrifying when I'm on the losing side ^^'. I like to walk and I play the cello and sometimes I like to sing too, but it is rather difficult to do those two together. I'm quite a dreamer, so I sometimes come up with a plan which is rather unrealistic, but I think because of it really awesome as well.

If you want to know more about me or the Netherlands, don't hesitate and leave a message!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I'm on Couchsurfing because I would like to connect with local people during my travel through the UK and I think couchsurfing could be a nice way to start.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tough questions... well my all time favorite books are the trilogy of Inkheart and the books of Diana Gabaldon. Movies (and series) that I like are Cloud Atlas, Chocolat, Seabiscuit, Downton Abbey, Poldark and Outlander. And my favorite music, that's really the hardest one since it changes all the time. I play the cello, so I like some classical music pieces.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To travel to Viet Nam with my family to see the wedding of my brother and to stay there for about four weeks. I was nine back then, rather tall for my age and I had really long blond hair, so I was often being looked upon and I sometimes even got the question if I was married yet!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I could teach people how to draw or paint. I could also help to sort out problems, since I often know which questions are needed to be asked.

Learn: I would love to learn Scottish Gaelic and to learn how it is to work and live for others and not just for myself.

Share: I would love to share stories and good conversations about anything and to share a good laugh and make music together.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Viet Nam
