Hello!
We are Melisa and Elias and we are currently living in the city of Buenos Aires for working and studying. Elias works as a tv program editor and loves filmmaking! And I (Meli) am studying to be a Literature/Spanish teacher.
We love art, we love eating and and drinking haha But mostly we try to keep on going and getting on a trip if we have the chance. We believe in going to new places and meeting people for getting inspired and open minded :)

Hola! Somos Melisa y Elias y vivimos en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires donde trabajamos y estudiamos. Elias es editor de programas de TV y también cineasta! Y yo, Meli, estoy estudiando para ser profesora de Castellano y Literatura.
Nos encanta el arte, la comida y la bebida jaja Pero más que nada nos gusta mantenernos en marcha y salir de viaje siempre que podemos. Creemos que conocer nuevos lugares y personas es inspirador y nos ayuda a mantener una mente abierta :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As soon as we've heard about CouchSurfing we wanted to try it, because it is such a good way to connect with people and really knowing from all over.
We want to travel but not only to see some monuments or museums; we want to talk, we want to walk all over different cities and hearing how people live their every day.
So this is an opportunity for us to host you and show you how we live as you tell us how it is in your country. And also, to ask you for your hosting if we are the travellers, so that someone from the city can tell us how it is and we can cook, in exchange, something from Argentina for you and share a beer.

En cuanto nos enteramos de CouchSurfing quisimos probarlo porque nos parece que es una buena forma de conectar con gente que nos pueda contar realmente cómo es en otros lados.
Queremos viajar, pero no solo para ver monumentos y museos; queremos conversar y conocer, caminar por distintas ciudades y escuchar cómo se vive allí.
Para nosotros es una oportunidad de recibirte en nuestra casa y contarte sobre nuestro país mientras vos nos contás el tuyo. Así como, si somos nosotros los viajeros, es una oportunidad para pedirte que nos recibas y nos cuentes cómo es, a cambio nosotros podemos cocinar algo de Argentina mientras tomamos una cerveza!

Interests

We love art. Music (listening and playing), concerts, books (reading and writing!), movies, painting, drawing, comics, mangas, collector toys, roleplaying (yeah, we are geeks haha), skating, meeting new people, travelling, going out, drinking beer, dancing (specially if there was beer), debating and thinking... Too many things haha

Amamos el arte. La música (tanto escuchar como tocar), ir a recitales, leer libros, escribir, ver películas (y hacerlas!), pintar, dibujar, comics, mangas, juguetes de colección, juegos de rol, patinar, conocer gente nueva, viajar, salir, tomar cerveza, bailar (sobre todo si hubo cerveza), debatir y pensar... Bueno, muchas cosas jaja

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Actually, we hear anything we enjoy, from classic to rock, from folk to metal, from pop to cumbia. We like people showing us new bands, searching for them and going to concerts. If we like it, we'll listen.

Movies: We spend way too much time watching movies and series haha. We like independent movies but also the ones that are only for entertaining.
We love directors like Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Miyazaki, Terry Gilliam, Coppola, Tarantino, Kusturika, etc. But we also like comic movies and Star Wars and Harry Potter!

Books: Well, we really enjoy going to the library, so you can imagine haha
Some of our favourite authors are Cortazar, Pizarnik, Borges, Sartre, Camus, De Beauvoir, Calvino, Beckett, Joyce, Artaud, Poe, Lovecraft, Gaiman, Tolkien, and so on haha.
