About Me
CURRENT MISSION
expand my horizons and get used to things that i am not always comfortable with
ABOUT ME
I have recently moved to kingston ontario from jerusalem israel/palestine. while there i had recently finished my BA and was working my way through an MA in musicology. I co-hosted a local radio show that specialized in hoping from genre to genre and country to country. i was also quite active politically there.
i am now in canada and enjoy a quieter life of reading, working and hopefully will start learning to be a carpenter come september and before that i will be studying yiddish this summer.
i am a pretty fun and easy going person, some would claim that i am funny and i definitely like to have a good laugh.

Music, Movies, and Books
too much to count.
i really just love films and music. so basically anything.
if i had to choose i would say
music: ennio morricone, punk, american folk/old time/ blues, classical, avante garde, music from around the world, free jazz, soundtracks, experimental etc.
films:
westerns
sci-fi/horror
film noir
classics
stupid comedies
the marx brothers
films that are not in english, like fellini, herzog and many others.
documentaries
tv shows:
arrested development
the wire
monty python
peep show
seinfeld
twin peaks
and many others
books:
i studied literature for my BA which means that i didn't read much for a while. since moving to canada i have read a lot. either novels ranging from classic literature to sci-fi to satirical or whatever... i also read a lot of non-fiction that recently has been mostly focused on environmental issues, food politics, indigenous struggles, and different political issues.
(i am much less pretentious in person than my interests imply)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
a few years ago I saw an aurora borealis, that was pretty cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
apparently i know a lot about different kinds of music and i always love to hold discussions on it and talk about random facts about a wide range of topics.
I am pretty involved in what goes on in israel and the occupied territories, and am always willing to discuss and talk about my experiences there and my take on what goes on over there.
i also know hebrew, a little bit of arabic, play the guitar, and make homemade sauerkraut if anyone wants to learn.
