About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going and fun to be around girl. I like to laugh a lot. Sometimes I don't talk much. But my texting is like the speed of light. I watch weird movies, go to loud concerts, read long books and listen to a whole lot of vinyls. I cook, I bake, I do cross-stitch art. I'm trying not to fall into the craziness surrounding me while my friends are getting married, having kids, being all grown up. I still consider myself as a young 20-something years old girl - I'm not immature, tough! :)
I was a booking agent in a first Polish DIY stoner rock booking agency - Ceremony Booking. I hosted many great bands from all over the world in Warsaw and other Polish cities. Also, I created first stoner-doom festival in Warsaw, called Days of the Ceremony. I had a great time booking gigs and travelling with the bands all over my country. Now I'm focused on my day-job (an office assistant in a law company), but I hope to go back to booking soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just starting my journey with couchsurfing. Hope to have more to put in this section soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not existing at this point. But if you count hosting many bands in my apartment while they played in Warsaw, it could be quite alright. Band's that slept at my place are: Kadavar (Germany), Samsara Blues Experiment (Germany), Talbot (Estonia), Pyramido (Sweden), Reka (Russia), The Flying Eyes (USA), Celeste (France), 71tonman (Poland). I also hosted some friends from Poland and other countries (Germany, Lithuania, France), who came to my festival and have no place to stay.

Interests

Music is the most important part of my life. My whole family is devoted to it. My dad is a former drummer. In his free time he taught kids to play drums, now he works in one of the best vinyl shops in Warsaw - Muzant (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Muzant-antykwariat-p%C5%82ytowy/370778516465598?fref=ts) - he's a walking talking rock/jazz/blues encyclopedia. My mum sings in the choir, and my brother play/played the guitar in some amazing metal bands.. I have no music talent so I focused on booking gigs :) it was an amazing adventure!
I also like to travel - I'm not into 'all inclusive organized trips'. I like spontaneous travelling to the places whith history and cool vibes. I love to do sightseeing, especially medieval monuments, churches, castles.
I also like movies and books. I cook quite ok (I'm very good with baking cakes and muffins). Recently, I started to do some cross-stitch art.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's a long list so maybe just few parts:

- music: all kinds of rock! I was raised on 60's-70's classics, so Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Zappa and many many more are always on my iPod and in my record collection. I also enjoy some good old funky, soul and hip-hop. And 70's-80's disco music - I love to dance to it.

- books: I read a lot. I always have at least one book with me to read while commuting to work. I enjoy biografies, crime stories, fantasy, travel reports, books about history and culture of other countries.

- movies: I watch a lot! I'm a huge fan of Tarantino. I like dramas, sci-fi, good comedies, some cartoons and chick-flicks, too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a local tour manager for The Flying Eyes (USA) at Polish leg of their European Summer Tour 2012!!! It was the greatest experience in my life so far.

I flew over to Stockholm for a couple of hours only to see the amazing show of my talented friends from Blues Pills alongside with the legend itself - Witchcraft!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some nice conversation, bake you some muffins, cook pierogis (traditional Polish meal) and I will definitely bring you some of my cross-stitch art as a thank you gift.
