Overview
About Me
I grew up in Paris, lived in Marseille during uni, and have settled in London 4 years ago. I speak fluent English, and used to be able to have conversations in Spanish after spending 4 months in Peru, but it's slipping away...
My friends say I'm a bubbly chatterbox who loves feeding people (I LOOOOVE baking), I also make mean cocktails and homemade pizzas. I love volleyball and music (I play the flute - the real one not the crappy one you get in school), and I work in energy policy (currently working in the field of connected homes).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my favourite things when I travel is meeting people. I'm a massively social animal, can't imagine not being surrounded by people, and new encounters always bring so much into your life! (I realise I sound cheesy, don't worry).
Years ago I randomly met 3 lovely Irish girls in a pub in Paris, we spent the entire night drinking and I walked them through Paris to their hostel at 5am while the sun was slowly rising. I've gone on to visit them in Ireland and they've visited me in London - each and every time we've enjoyed sharing our cities with one another, and it's the same when friends visit me over here.
So basically, I'm on couch surfing for the people, and enjoying their cities with them! I can't actually host people as I live in a flatshare (no one has money to live alone in London...), but happy to meet up for a coffee or a drink!
Interests
I play volleyball (as often as my finances allow me to haha!), music (not so much recently but I do love a good concert, LOVE the BBC Proms), and I love sailing (used to go to sailing school every summer growing up, and actually got a sailing teaching degree even though I never had time to use it!)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: my tastes are quite wide ranging, I don't think I dislike any music except for reggae or hard core metal. I absolutely love classical music, but also like things like Aimee Mann, Josh Radin, Naturally 7, The Offspring, Villagers, Dire Straits, Avicii...
Movies: off the top of my head Eternal Sunshine, The Truman Show, I Am Sam, The Green Mile, The Lives of Others, Inception, The Dark Knight trilogy, Forrest Gump, Finding Neverland, Goodbye Lenin, The King's Speech, pretty much all of Tim Burton's and Hayao Miyazaki's movies, Inglorious Basterds...
Books: Yes. I mean how else are you supposed to talk about them? Ha! I like some authors like Daniel Pennac or Jasper Fforde, but there are so many amazing books I've read it'd be difficult to pick...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year a friend and I went to Jordan for a week. We met a couple of great people from Brazil, Canada and Australia, and ended up spending the entire week with them, picking up more people as we went (a girl from Guatemala, another Frenchie and a Swiss girl!). This was the most fun trip I've done in my life - the place was beautiful and people were fantastic, but the group of friends we created there was the best experience ever! I dream of having this happen to me in future trips :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
Don't invite me in if you don't like people who talk! (Just sayin)
Apart from mixing cocktails (just give me liquor and soft drinks and I'll think of something) or baking, general chatting and discovering other people, interests, things I like and dislike about my home country (France) and host country (UK)...
