Chi sono

I am a part time student and full time worker. I am planning a long trip in the future, to see all over the world, as much as possible. I've traveled more than half of Europe, some of Africa and been to USA once, these trips have changed my way of seeing the world, entirely. I love meeting new people and get to know them and their culture. I really like to talk with foreigners as I really enjoy talking in another language than my mother tongue.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

I found this website from my researches about interesting projects on the internet.
As I love traveling a lot, this site was the best site to meet travelers around the world.
And I love listening stories all around the world from first person, rather than reading it from news, books, etc.

Interessi

I love traveling, reading, playing PC games, listening to music and taking photos. I also love sharing good memories with people.
When I am on abroad I mostly walk through the streets or landscapes and observe people and do nothing else but enjoying the view and the moment.
Also one thing I love is getting lost in my mind while thinking about stuff, falling asleep and waking up with more stories in my memory.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Everything I do in the name of experience is amazing for me.
But recently (in March 2018) I have crossed the Western Sahara desert on an Iron Ore train in Mauritania at night (14 hrs trip) while travelling solo to Morocco.
Also being the youngest female (20) Turkish citizen that is known to visit Svalbard was pretty amazing. Passed one week in the north pole without seeing the sun but only it's dim light over the glaciers.
One memorable trip was also the one I took in Russia. Despite being my first time in the country and having only one week to spend, I just took of to see the Murmansk on Arctic Express, traveled 36 hours from Moscow during 2021 winter.
Best train ride so far though was the Shosholoza Meyl train I took from Jo'burg to Cape Town (in 2019) which was supposed to be 33-hours-long train ride but thanks to the diesel engine parting away half the way and changing to two electric engines which eventually broke down due to load-shedding in the middle of the Karoo and 16 wagons were left without water for 4 hours. Eventually we've arrived to CT after 44 hours of train ride in the middle of the night and slept on the train an extra night due to the city being dangerous at night for transfers from the station.

“Most travel, and certainly the rewarding kind, involves depending on the kindness of strangers, putting yourself into the hands of people you don't know and trusting them with your life.”
― Paul Theroux, Ghost Train to the Eastern Star
