About Me
(Deleted this section. You should meet me for yourself)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2013 I briefly heard of CS from one of my dad's buddies. He told me about the journeys he had with his son and that he also hosted. To be honest, I thought the whole set up was kind of weird, but I was a different person back then. Back at the start of my four month journey in 2016, one of my friends suggested CS to me when she heard I was sleeping in my car. Now, CS is one of the greatest things that's ever happened to me. I'm pretty bad at planning, so I usually find someone to host that seems pretty cool, and then while I'm with them I ask them about where they live and where I should check out. I base most of my travels off of that. Everyone I've met has either given me amazing suggestions or they've taken me around themselves. I love it.
Couchsurfing offers so much. Its a place to help travelers and hosts explore cultures, to make relationships, to share, teach and learn, and it's a place to have fun. Everyone on CS loves to help people and give back. I'm so glad to say that I'm a part of such wonderful community.
Interests
Playing guitar and singing, board games, traveling(obviously), hiking, backpacking, pursuing Jesus, trying new foods and new activities, working with kids, sports, math, helping people, being the coolest uncle ever to four(soon to be five:) ) amazing nieces and nephews, dancing, anime, bon fires, couch surfing, riding bikes/long boarding, swimming, sunsets, food, food, food, and food
Music, Movies, and Books
Not much of a movie watcher, I tend to fall asleep during them. Barefoot Gen, Pom Poko, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Interstella 5555, and My Neighbor Totoro. As musician, I appreciate all genres. From 60s folk to 80s hair metal to 90s alternative rock, to today's contemporary Christian to 70s pop and so on...(even some country or hardcore/metal). The last book I read besides the Bible was some Star Wars book in 2014. Not much of a reader either.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working with teens and ten year olds. Helping and watching them grow has been an amazing and rewarding experience for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach guitar(I'll have mine) and baking(I used to work at a cupcake shop). I can share the Christian Gospel and would love to learn about your religion or encounters with other religions. I'd like to learn anything and everything. I'll share anything that's mine, including memories. On my journeys I've traded and given out quite a few things. I have too much stuff. If you like the shirt I'm wearing, just ask for it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positive attitude. Willingness to help(even cleaning). Fun. Down to try anything. Cooking/baking.
