Hi I'm Eli, a 19 year old Film maker and Musician from Sydney, Australia (that place out of Nemo)
On a typical day you can catch me snapping just about anything that interests me with my Canon EOS Film Camera, I mostly shoot bands at the moment as I am involved quite solidly in the Sydney music scene and love it's creative energy and interesting venues but I do enjoy the odd portrait as well. When I'm not shooting you can find me watching film, more specifically anything by David Lynch or The Coen Brothers at the moment. I spiritually relate to Jeff Lebowski.
At my roots i'm a musician, which has been unfortunate for my neighbours in the evenings but a beautiful outlet for me over the years and i'm always down to bust out a tune or a sing-along at any hour.
All in all socially i'm a laid back guy that gets his kicks out of inspiring and interesting conversation and good vegetarian food and if you're the same lets have a chat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couch surfing by a friend of mine Abby who has lived the DIY travel lifestyle I have wanted to get into for a while.
When I travelled when I was younger with my family we stayed in resorts and very sheltered places where I was unable to absorb the true essence of my travel destination.
Now that I'm older and have come into a job that allows me to travel for myself I want to make my journey out into the world as human as it can possibly be. I want to meet new fun loving people in their own settings and interact in ways that teach me something and share those awesome moments and keep them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's been a few but the most recent was touring Australia with my band Grim Indiana. I got to see a new city every night for 4 nights and met a bunch of inspiring artists and musicians in the process, discovering we had fans in those cities that our music had impacted as well was very humbling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach new friends the basics of film photography and guitar playing, I'm always documenting the world around me so a photo series or a little interview short film posted to my Instagram or Vimeo would totally be on the cards if you have a story to tell.

On top of this I am always looking for new people to show my screen plays and creative ideas and get feed back from a new angle, there's nothing i'd rather do than bounce creativity off another person.
