About Me

ABOUT ME

Easygoing; curious--ask toooo many questions sometimes; energetic-- need to move and shake; love being outdoors-- riding bike, running, soccer, climbing (still new), swimming (even in cold water-- Germans ability to jump in cold water is rubbing off on me), camping; get to do some travelling for work--has opened my heart and mind to new people and places, really thankful for that; keep trying to learn languages so I can understand beneath the surface of people.

I live in the Netherlands right now. It's a great place. You can ride your bike fast (cause it's so flat) and you don't need a car, you can swim in the lakes and canals and wear wooden clogs to the grocery store.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a fun way to travel and meet open-minded and just really good people, make friends when traveling alone, and learn from each other. Whenever I've moved to a new city, I always go in search of the couchsurfing family and there I find a home. Other eccentric and curious and inclusive people, always planning or dreaming up another adventure.

Interests

sports; being outdoors; DIY-- especially costumes for dancing; reading especially historical fiction/satire/romance; social justice and human rights; dancing; cooking; writing poetry

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many....

Teach, Learn, Share

hmmm maybe some language stuff-- I've been an English as a 2nd language teacher (4 years!) so I have training for that and I like to teach and talk about this subject; dancing--like salsa, meringue, bachata, zouk, forro, tribal dancing/bellydance, dancehall, still new at some of these but love them, lol hope my love of dancing is contagious; cook some new dishes; I can also teach you some silly Dutch expressions (I'm not Dutch but have lived there for 4 years)
