Overview
About Me
Passionate about art, archaeology and science and willing to combine the three in a sensible career, I spent most of the past 10years studying conservation science.
I hopped between France, Italy and California following different job opportunities and I landed in Leuven, Belgium, where I've been working for the past 3+ years on a PhD.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have couchsurfed myself and hosted people several times, although rarely through this network. I love meeting new people and discover how they live and how they feel about their own hometown and country. It adds a very interesting dimension to the travel experience and makes it somehow more authentic and pleasant to me.
Interests
Besides studying artworks, I also like to make my own: I try to make time for drawing and painting on a weekly basis and recently got into film photography. Next step is to turn my storage closet in a proper dark room.
I'm quite an outdoorsy person: I grew up in the Alps and I take every chance to go hiking and camping (my current host country is a bit short on mountains, but I can make do).
I've been practicing yoga for a few years and I've recently followed a yoga teacher training, which got me really interested in meditation practices and yoga philosophy.
I really like to cook, share recipes and experiment in the kitchen.
