Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love that you can come to a city alone and lost and without a plan. There you meet up with one or more complete strangers and you have the time of your life! Afterwards you discover that you have a bunch of new friends and you hardly even know what happened. So far I've done this in Lyon, Paris and Casablanca and I hope for many more experiences like this!

Through CS I got to celebrate New Year 12/13 in the Sahara with a bunch of people I didn't know and that was one of the best things I've done, what an experience!

Interests

Nowadays I hang out in the student nation a lot, it's pretty much like a youth club but for grown ups and you get to do whatever you want like making fancy food for people, doing culture events, work in the pub, meet lots of friends and so on, I recommend it!

Most of my free time I use for LARPing (live action role play). We dress up in our homemade clothes or second hand clothes, improvise around a story, fight, fool around, cry and whatnot, you never know. It's genious.

Circus and dancing has also been a great interest and I mostly juggle or tangle myself in fire ropes and things like that. I dance contemporary, jazz, street, lindy hop and swedish folk dance when I get an opportunity!

Other things that interest me are animals, acting, singing, being lazy, watch films and to drink tea (or beer).

There's so much! Currently obsessing over The 100, The Maze Runner (Newtmas) and Game of Thrones. I'm a big fan of Doctor Who, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inglourious Bastards... As a Larper/nerd I like historical films, fantasy and sci-fi and besides I love musicals, Sweeney Todd and Billt Elliot are the best! The swedish director Ulf Malmros makes absolutely brilliant comedies! Slim Susie for example.

1984! The storyteller's daughter (true story from a journalist in Afghanistan, seriously, google it), everything by Robin Hobb, The Hunger Games trilogy, Röde Orm: a hilarious story of vikings, Harry Potter, Neil Gaiman's and Astrid Lindgren's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best things I've ever experienced is the medieval week on Gotland in Sweden! Hundreds of amazing people gather every year to have fun and hang out in their medieval outfits (which means there is a mix of knights, barbarians, pirates, elves, you name it). It's completely unpretentious, there are performances and parties everywhere you look and you are welcome everywhere. And that all this is happening on a beautiful little island under the stars makes it all even better!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn every language on earth so speak to me! I have to start somewhere. :)

If you want someone to speak Swedish with I'd gladly help. Other stuff I know about is juggling, the old noble art of needle binding and also sewing clothes, mostly historical! Probably more that I don't think about right now.
