I study music full time as a vocalist in Helsinki and I'm passionate about Arts.
I love music, theater, jazz, art, food, movies, travelling, history, nice conversations, different cultures and friendly people. There's no better thing than friends. It's lovely to have a good meal outdoors at summertime shared with friends or in wintertime just a cup of hot coffee.
My latest interest is Brazilian culture, -music and Portuguese language.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm looking for places to stay and friendly people to meet! I'm usually travelling on low-budget and I would prefer to see and explore the cities with someone who's local rather than being just an other tourist.

Last summer I traveled all over Europe by train with my friend Ida and we met just amazing people thru Couchsurfing. Earlier I've made a few friendships thru CS that have lasted now over 5 years! I think that's amazing.
I'm sure that the people who I'm going to meet thru CS are going to make my journey even more interesting, because they have a different (insiders) perspective to their cities.
That's why Couchsurfing would be the perfect way to travel for me!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music: JAZZ! Glenn Miller Big Bands swing from 1940s, thru Ella Fitzgerald, thru Miles Davis, thru John Coltrane, thru Herbie Hancock to Robert Glasper Experiment. In the genre of jazz you name it, I love it!
I like also Brazilian music as: Elis Regina, Tom Jobim, Sergio Mendes, Djavan, Joyce Moreno, Joao Donato, Joao Bosco, Wilson Simonal, Joao Gilberto etc..
Big vocalists as Lalah Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Janelle Monae, Aretha Franklin, Carole King etc inspire me. And last but not least: The Beatles.

I like to watch A LOT of different tv-series like: Mad Men, Gilmore Girls, Downton Abbey, Twin Peaks, Jeeves and Wooster (or just anything with Stephen Fry and his brilliant humor and charisma) Orange Is The New Black, AnnE with an E, Friends and The Darling Buds Of May, How I Met Your Mother, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and lots of BBC Documentaries just to name a few.

Movies: for exaple Jacques Tati classics, Aki Kaurismäki movies and old classics like Singing In The Rain and Some Like It Hot!

My favourite books at the moment are biographies. I like books from Stephen Fry, Paul Auster, Edgar Lee Masters, Samuel Beckett, Alexander McCall Smith.....

I appreciate mutual reliability, honesty, open-mindedness and positive attitude. I'm eager to learn a lot about you: your interests, your culture and all the hidden gems in your own city!
I can share my unique Scandinavian perspective/teach you something about Finland and it's culture and of course my loved subject: music. And to be more specific I can also share my knowledge about my interests: 1930s-1960s vintage, music, cars, clothes, furniture, dances (every now and then I dance Lindy Hop and Charleston).
I love films from that era.

And I would really really want to learn to speak Portuguese!
