ABOUT ME

I'm a literary student, studying in Helsinki University. At the moment I am living in Iceland, Reykjavík and studying in Háskóli Islands. I like people being nice to each other. I love to talk about books, movies, politics, philosophy. I also enjoy a good party. So everything goes! Can't wait to meet new people.

Oh well, other than that. First of all, I don't eat meat, I am a feminist. In my personal life I wish to make the world around me more tolerable for different people and different styles of living. There really is room for all of us.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time looking for a host through couch surfing but after my journey, I am eager to host people in my own flat too :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: When alone at home I love to listen to something down beat like dreamy icelandic music, contemporary classical music (Arvo Pärt for example!) When I go dancing I love house, techno, etc. I also listen to general indie-kind-of-stuff as Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Beirut, Sufjan Stevens, Beach House etc.

Movies: I love Xavier Dolan films. I am into French new wave but I also love Eric Rohmer! I love to watch documentaries as well. When I am ill I have my guilty pleasure of watching romantic comedies.

Books: I am a literature student! It feels hard to say any preference of books as I could go on and on about this subject. Lately I have been interested in Frank O'Hara's poetry.
I am also reading Susan Sontag's notebooks & journals at the moment. The autobiographies of female intellects really interest me.
