ABOUT ME

Young & striving girl, who is living in Vilnius, Lithuania. A lover of all visual things, who is interested in architecture, art and design (in general). I work in creative field, to be more particular in advertising agency, as a project manager. Besides that I am an active volunteer, event organiser (I help to organise TEDxVilnius events) and a student of Communication Faculty (Master's degree).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I stayed at peoples' places in some countries. Also I met other Couchsurfers, who were travelling in Lithuania and showed them Vilnius city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience is very nice! I still remember two guys from Berlin, their friends, flat and our room with foosball. They gave us a key of their home and computer for a personal use – I was really surprised by their generosity.
When I stayed in Tampere, Finland, I lived at a girl's place, with whom I became friends. We've found many things in common and spent all days together visiting famous places of Tampere and just having fun with other people from CS.

Most of the hosts guided me and my friends around cities, cooked dinners, etc. I can say I had greatest moments, when I've chose to surf around the globe with CS.

Interests

I like many things – books, talks about philosophy, politics and psychology, journeys to the nature, water activities, trying different (and exotics) foods, visits to exhibitions, biking, running, theatre and live music concerts. I love nature and at the same time architecture, urban life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: M. Kundera, M. Bulgakov, A. Camus, A. Barrico, A. Chekhov, S. Zweig, I. Yalom, there are also many Lithuanian writers I adore.
I like to read poems and historical biographies.

Music: I enjoy many types of music, however now I listen to London Grammar, Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Lianne La Havas, Chet Faker, Moderat, FKA twigs,
Cinematic Orchestra, etc.

Movies: I like Kim Ki Duk, S. Kubrick, Jim Jarmusch, Ch. Nolan, A. Kurosawa, R. Polanski, A. Inarritu movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess my ERASMUS in the Netherlands was one of most unforgettable things I've ever done. I met so many interesting people, traveled a lot experiencing best feelings.

Also I can mention TEDxVilnius event I organise every year – it is the best feeling to see a result of hard work by organising one of the most meaningful events.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook traditional Lithuanian food!
