ABOUT ME

In January 2017 I moved from Utrecht (NL) to Zurich (CH) to live close to mountains and to finish my masters in biomedical sciences. After finishing my masters (Sep 2017) me and my boyfriend decided to stay in Zurich for another year. Our weekends often feel like little holidays, as we regularly visit the beautiful nature of Switzerland for a hike or to ski. From September onward we are planning to travel for approximately 6 months, to Indonesia, New Zealand and some unknown destination(s). And afterwards, no idea :)

I get a lot of energy from spending time with friends. Either at home playing board games, or in a cafe or bar for lunch/dinner/beer. I'm often described as 'enthusiastic' and 'proactive', as I like to organize little trips.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's quite a long time ago that I did couchsurfing, but I stayed at couches in Australia, the Czech Republic and Germany. So far all those experience were really nice. The people were lovely and I got to know the cultures of these countries much better. I also hosted some people when I was living as a student in Utrecht. Those experiences were also very good.

Interests

Next to hiking and spending time with friends I'd love to sail. My parent have a little sailing boat, so in summer I try to go as often as possible. I really enjoy the combination of sailing and camping on a little islands in a lake. We make a campfire, watch the stars and have a bbq.
