Overview
About Me
I am an openminded person who enjoys discovering - be it new places, good ideas, food or people. Both at home and abroad. At the moment I am living in Amsterdam.
Favorite destinations so far: Chefchaouen (Morocco), Andalusia (Spain), Wadi Rum (Jordan). Fascination for deserts. Always in for a beach. Addicted to city life. Wanting to get to know new places, preferably by its people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to discover and understand a new place is to get to know it with and and by its people. It adds surprises and unexpected experiences.
Interests
Love to write, stroll vintage markets, be surprised by (street) musicians, visit photo-exhibitions (especially themed in black&white), read unknown magazines, have conversations over politics, culture & religion, drink milk with coffee and try new food.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: currently addicted to Asgeir, Jack Garrett and Nina Simone. Discovering hiphop.
Movies: recently really enjoyed The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Life of Phi. Also always in for a good documentary.
Books: when it comes to fiction, I really enjoy the Belgium author Dimitri Verhulst and the Dutch/Moroccan Hafid Bouazza. At the moment building a collection of books on Morocco as Rabat became a second home after having lived there for a couple of years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending the night in the desert of Wadi Rum, enjoying the hammam in the suburbs of Rabat with Moroccan friends, climbing Adam's peak (Sri Lanka) during the night for sunrise on top of this pilgrimage mountain.
