CURRENT MISSION

I want to learn and share! I'm looking for new experiences from all over the world and people to share them with.

I like the crowded city life, with thousands of etnicities and new bars every other week-end and I like hiking in the wild nature with the sound of silence and a breeze of freedom. I like old things, furnitures with a history, a hand made carpet my grandmother bought on a journey or a post card with too many stamps. I like to sit in the train for ten hours with Fanfarlo in my ears and just think, think about nothing or everything.

I love a good cappuccino but I also drink a lot of green tea, especially since I dont do that well with coffein. I like vegetarian food, especially from Asia. I just started to collect vinyl and old cassettes, I am a big Smiths fan. I love to share a good laugh, to see people who are in love, to hold hands and wear nice stockings. I don't want to wake up alone, I want to wake up alone. I don't like birds in cages, I prefere orogami and little old tin-cans with a secret inside. Bohemians, poets and writers, travelers, dreamers and a good song in my ears as well as hard work, activism, some kind of effectiveness and trying to contribute to something good in this world.

I come from the north of Sweden but am living in Gothenburg at the moment. I just started my Masters in Human Rights. I also work part time in a vintage store which I really enjoy.

I love to travel, to spend time with local or non-local people, eat tasty food and learn about other cultures. I feel good when I am moving, want to see new places, meet new people and learn new things. I think it is great to visit a country or a city together with a local person, who knows the less touristic places to go to and who can tell me about these. That is why I use CouchSurfing, it's a great way to connect.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I've been on couchsurfing for about 5 years now and both hosted and surfed some. I only had great experiences and will continue to use this opportunity in the future for sure!

I am not hosting at the moment but am happy to meet up and share some good stories and ideas.

Interessen

Exept for everything I already said, travelling, music, movies, books and a good party of course, I also like to dance. I know some foxtrot, the dirty-fox, salsa, some samba and I really want to learn more.

I also like outdoor activities, hiking and running especially. North of Sweden is a great place for getting lost in the hills and sleep in a cabin, swim naked in a lake and forget about the things you think that you have to do. When I run I do it because it feels good and gives me the chance to disconnect for a while.

As I said I'm also an activist and involved in a few different organisation. This goes hand in hand with my studies and thereby is quite a big part of my life. I'm involved in human rights, equality, and environmental and climate issues.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I listen to a lot of indie, with influences from rock, pop and folk. I like Beirut, Fanfarlo, Tallest Man on Earth, Tinarawan and much more. Swedish pop like Slowgold is also nice. I don't really like club music, I'm more of a pub person! I also like jazz and blues music, smokey basement bars and a glas of red wine..

12 angry men is one of my favorite films, but I also like Boyhood, the Intouchables, most things from Tarantino, just to mention a few random ones. I also enjoyed watching everything from the Wire and GoT to Girls and Downtown Abbey. I read books as often as I can. Half a Yellow Sun, the God of Small Things, Wild Swans are a few favourites. I love to read prosa, and I also like writing it.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I've seen many amazing things in my life. I've seen the Great Wall of China, Mona Lisa, the Tower of Pisa, and Colosseum... But I've also seen the look in the eyes of a new friend when you understand sometihing together, a kind person who helps a stranger even thought they don't speak the same language and people who fight for their rights to have a place on this earth. And I have so many more amazing things to see.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I want to spread tolerance and understanding but also have fun and meet new people. I belive that we are too many to all be the same. And we shouldn't want to be, but I think we can all learn a great deal from eachother. Also, we have to learn to accept eachothers differences and start to live together, more than we do now. Therefore I think this platsform is much more than just a way to travel cheap, which of course also is pretty great.
