Hi, I’m Elisa! I am 19 years old and traveling Asia with my best friend Freja (F19). We are from the green and peaceful countryside in southern Sweden. Both of us love traveling and exploring new parts of the world and especially meeting new people! Personally I am quiet and friendly, and Freja is more outgoing and energetic - a perfect combination. I love (!) nature and I am planning to study Biology at university in the coming years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on couchsurfing because I am hoping to get a more genuine perspective of the countries I am visiting. Also I love making new friends, especially from different cultures and backgrounds! <3 When I get back home I would love to host people in Sweden!

Interests

I love everything nature! Gardening, foraging, hiking, canooing, camping, mountaineering! I am living on a farm on the countryside and we have a dog, cats, horses and chickens. Also I love crafts (even though I’m not particularly skilled), on this trip we are making bracelets and giving them as gifts to the new friends we meet! Good food and music is always welcome in my life!

Music, Movies, and Books

When I was younger I loved the Narnia-series! Now I enjoy reading fiction like A Little Life (had me in a chokehold :,( ) I have so many favorites like The queens Gambit by Walter Tevis and Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng.
My music taste varies a lot, but I like Swedish rap and pop as well as Taylor Swift, Hozier, Bob Marley and many more…

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While backpacking Asia, amazing things happen everyday! But if I had to choose one it must be going to an Independence Day party in Sri Lanka that our host had! Such a kindhearted and generous family. We ate good food and everyone (old and young) danced to music together the whole night.

I would love to share the Swedish culture and learn about yours!! Food, music, fashion, social norms, history, nature, everything! One of my main hobbies is gardening and foraging so I would absolutely love sharing knowledge about that!
