Overview
About Me
Hi there - I'm a Spaniard girl currently living in New York working as an Au Pair from sep of 2018. I am an easy-going person, funny - I guess -, cheerful, animal lover, very curious, extremely empathetic and patient, while being committed and respectful. Of the many aspects that I could highlight, there is one that warrants particular focus - listen and understand others.
I consider tolerance to a positive outreach of human minds to understand others, and to uncover or to forge, common ethical ties. In the firm belief that friendly relationships are based on sincerity, loyalty and an attempt to understand others, I believe we must all become involved in the dialogue between cultures and beliefs over the next years, without however, renouncing one's own identity.
Philosophy: The only thought in my mind is to stretch out every second and hold onto it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first solo trip it was when I was sixteen. It was in Valencia. I spent 5 days in a hostel and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had - as an almost religious experience. Since that moment when I'm traveling I used to stay in hostels sharing a room and I can say every single time has been so special and wonderfulness.
So I guess couchsurfing is one of the best way to keep it up.
Interests
I have an excellent standard of living because I travel - not as much as I would like - and I am able to meet new people who teaches me several things. I could even say the most of my interests/hobbies come from people I met somewhere. I am a passionate about books and I love writing whenever I can - normally I write more after having a strong experience which inspires me somehow. Some of them are good but I think I do my best when those experiences are completely new or even when they are not good at all.
I like traveling alone because gives you the chance to indulge yourself fully. Of course, single travel has its perils too—such as safety concerns, loneliness, and the dreaded single supplement.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was doing a part of "The Camino de Santiago/Way of Saint James" in Spain I had the opportunity to see the planet Venus. It was a magical night with one of my best friends.
Last summer I hiked for 8 days the Wonderland Trail around mount Rainer in Washington state.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not sure if I have a lot to teach but definitely I have enough to share with you and of course to learn. I can show you how Spanish life looks like - amazing food, our bad jokes, songs and traditions. To bring the other cultural influence I have, Argentina. My mom is from Mar del Plata and I am such a lucky person because of that. I've grown up with that mix which is amazing and makes me feel life so different.
If you would like to learn writing I can give you some tips and have a good time working on it.
Also I love hiking - it makes me feel unique, self-connected and free - so I'd be glad to share a hike with you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
One of my last thoughts:
It blows my mind the many people we meet throughout our lives. I do believe every single person who goes through your life has a reason somehow. And if you have the ability to process and understand it, it will give the best learning to you. Absolutely unique and unrepeatable. I've been away from home - my lovely city of Logroño - for a while and I'm ever more convinced that meeting new people offers the greatest change in the usual way of doing things.
Even it is undeniable that they might also be indicative - for good or bad - as to where the wind blows.
After all, our songs have always been about our own experiences and those of people we know.
Love,
Eli ❤️
