About Me

Oh dear... I feel like I'm about to sign up to online dating website... Here goes it...

Hi everyone, my name's Elisa. I'm a teacher and have recently moved over from Australia to the UK to work and travel (surprise surprise).

I would've described myself as a fussy control freak however have since realised there's no fun to be experienced that way. I now would say that I like to be spontaneous and go with the flow, you'll find YOLO (you only live once) come out of my mouth from time to time. When I'm indecisive, and questioning 'should I?' YOLO is a mantra that I often come back to, to help me decide.

I love cooking, I love eating. I much prefer the latter. I think the most important part of a holiday is experiencing new culture and a huge part of that is food. So far eating new foods in different countries is at the top of my priorities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm wanting to explore a different way of travelling and meeting new people. So what better way to have an authentic cultural experience, than meeting and staying with locals.

I've also realised that my English lifestyle has left me somewhat poor, this doesn't mean we have to remain poor in life and experiences.

Interests

Cooking and eating. I much prefer eating than cooking.

Right now, that's my main interest, you could even say my main priority in life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I navigated my way around the Italian motorways using a ordinary map, a paper one, none of this GPS rubbish.

Snuck past security, to the front row of a Ricky Martin concert when I was 13 years old.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me how to cook, I want to learn your language and share with me your dance moves.

What I Can Share with Hosts

TESOL is my thing. So teaching English is something I can definitely share with my hosts.

I can also make gnocchi and lemon meringue pie from scratch, if that's your thing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, England, Italy
