About Me
EDIT: Moved to France :) I am not in Italy anymore!
Hi everyone!
My name is Elisa and I'm from Italy (so I could help you with my language!).
I'd like to improve my English and my French. I'm working as journalist in one of our national headline, "Il Resto del Carlino".
I'm very ironic, with a very strong personality, social, open minded, estremely honest. I love artistic personalities.
I have 5 dogs and a "rogue" cat. I live in the countryside, so I have no space problems!
I really really really enjoy passing time in the nature. Luckily, I live in a small town (7.000 citizens more or less) that is called Montecassiano. It has the "I borghi più belli d'Italia" flag ( = "the most beautiful villages in Italy") and the orange flag too (the certification of the excellence of the small towns in the hinterland). It's a very picturesque town, closed by the medieval wall all around:

Anyway, Montecassiano is not far away from the sea (the Adriatic sea) nor from the mountains (the Apennines, that pass through Italy from north to south). The section of Umbrian-Marchigian Apennines in my district is called "Sibillini", because of the legend of the Sybil. Legend has it that she sought refuge there during the slow process of conversion to Christianity during the Roman Empire. It's also known as a place where witches consecrated their books, centuries ago. It's clearly a legend, but it's quite fascinating, isn't it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I love both travelling and meeting new people. So this is the perfect combination, I think! :)
Music, Movies, and Books
I have very various tastes in like everything: in music I can pass from Frank Sinatra and Jacques Brel to Apocalyptica and Florence & The Machine. Same story for movies, theatre, books and food :) I like to experience new things.
Actually I'm reading The man in the high castle, by Philip K. Dick :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My hiking adventures! When I was in high school, every summer I spent a week hiking in Alps, but going to university and working at the same time I had to stop.
We used to go every summer for a week, with a huge group (300 people more or less, 14-19 years old). I made lots of friends, it was very funny.
We did lots of cool things, like rafting! Every journey someone injured himself someway: a girl fell from a tree, from 3 metres from the ground; a boy fell into the river while we were doing rafting; another boy got lost into the forest. But I came back safe and sound every time :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some new recipes (I love cooking!) and I'm a very friendly person, so I love sharing my stories and my experiences with others, and I would like to know something of your life!
