Overview
About Me
Hi! I am a student from Turin and I would like to catch every opportunity (cheap flights and long weekends) to visit Europe (and not only..).
I do not want to be one of those girls with the name of big cities in their heads but that never visited them in their whole lives: it would be a failure to me.
I studied languages in high school and my mind has loved learning new ones ever since (I am currently trying to deal with Polish, but that's a really hard challenge..)
In the meanwhile I am studying psychology in university in the morning, I am learning to play the guitar in the afternoon, not forgetting to watch at least a movie per week in the evening.
Well, I think that's all for now. I surely forgot something, but it will pop into my mind when we meet!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to visit as many countries as I can but I want to avoid the typical "hostel routine": I'd prefer to meet people from different places and to be part of the environment around me.
I do not want to be a tourist with her camera full of new pictures , I'd rather be a traveller with her memory full of new faces.
I have only been to Europe so far, there are other 4 continents left, why shouldn't I give them a try?
Interests
I am interested in movies and expecially in acting: I was part of the local theatre group when I was in high school and I am still dreaming of becoming a famous actress ( I think my inner child will never deal with the reality and the strict need of a professional degree).
As I told you before I love languages and I often play the guitar (or at least I try to strum something, making my father happy to be mostly away from home to work).

Music, Movies, and Books
The kind of music I listen to usually depends on my mood ....or the shuffle mode on my MP3!
But maybe you should know that it is more probable to find indie music or rock music in it. In this period I am mostly into Fleet Foxes, The Spoons, Tame Impala, Neutral Milk Hotel, Belle and Sebastien : you can call me a hipster, I would rather say that I NEED to love this music, because that's the only genre I can play on my guitar (I am still learning). You know....the chords are easier in indie music.
The book which better describes my life could be "The catcher in the rye" which I read when I was only 16 and was a really eye-opening reading for me.
I cannot decide wether the movie which represents me the most is "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" or Tim Burton's "The corpse bride" (I have watched this one at least 10 times in my life and I still think it's not enough) .
Anyway, if I am watching a movie, I cannot feel totally satisfied if it's not in his original language.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I know it sounds boring, but the most beautiful thing I have ever done was waiting for the sunrise: it is not so common for a 20-year-old nowadays, I think anyone should do that at least once in his life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn as many languages as I can (even the daily phrases are enough to me) and I can share with you all I know about Italian culture.
I absolutely LOVE cooking and I am excited to try different food from other countries: from sweet to bitter, from hot to frozen, I will try everything. There is only one rule: you must tell me what I am eating, I do not like surprises in my plate!
