About Me

----Updates-----
Next big trip: LA and Oaxaca, Mexico! (Oct., 2022)

I've already moved back to Taipei. The description of my house was the old apartment in Tainan. Since I've temporarily moved back with my parents, I can no longer have people stay over. Still, I'm down to hang out or have some conversations.

Hello, all the amazing couch-surfers!!
My name is Elisa. I was born and raised in Taiwan. I majored in film when I was in college and I'm really passionate about music, photography, art, and traveling. Besides motion picture, I'm trying to reach out more to anthropology and ethnomusicology. I'm totally willing to learn more about different cultures and people from all over the world!

I've been an English teacher for the last two years. My life is pretty much just English teaching and skateboarding lol. Would be super cool to skateboard in YOUR country and have a cruise with you! I'm also willing to help with any English or Mandarin problems if you're struggling with the languages.

I'm also a henna artist. I regard henna art as a way to communicate with yourself and the people and world around you.

I'm always feeling proud of being a Taiwanese, even though it's a small island with lots of complicated political issues. However, having some extremely beautiful nature scenes and rich cultural background, really makes this country an amazing place. There are places like Taipei, where you can enjoy the urban vibe and meet people from all over the world. There are also places like Taitung, which provide a quieter, countryside atmosphere. I've spent a year traveling and doing working exchange in different places in my country. I'm willing to share more if you are interested!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, traveling is not only just a way of visiting a new country but also learning from different cultures, stories, backgrounds, and people. It's a way for me to strengthen myself, and a way to open up more new things in life.
