About Me

I am a 25 year old Italian girl, born and raised in beautiful Milan (Northern Italy) and living in Amsterdam since 3 years working in a renewable energy company

Since I was small we travelled quite a lot together and have luckily been to beautiful places in Italy, Europe and the world. I love home, but also did quite a few experiences away, both in Italy (volunteering and travelling around Naples and in Sicily) and abroad (some summer "studying" in Valencia and Barcelona, and travels with friends in Netherlands, Liguria and Southern Italy).

I love spending time out with friends doing many different things: visiting stuff, having beers, sharing food and cooking together, dancing, going to the cinemas, or even just chilling in the open air and the parks or cycling around somewhere nice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met my amazingly international family of worldwide friends in Amsterdam especially during my erasmus, during which I went with friends on our first Couchsurfing travelling experiences (in Texel Island, Maastricht, Groningen, the Hague, Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Lille, and the Ardennes).

I found that it's CS just an incredible way to travel. To be honest, I don't deny that it's also a very helpful and smart means of low-budget travelling that helps students visit wonderful places that would otherwise be unaffordable, however I strongly feel that it's, first of all, one of the best ways to get in touch with locals and experience real travel (getting the most awesome hints of places to visit, like when I visited an abandoned castle in the Ardennes with a friend and our great CS host there).

I especially like CS experiences in which there's a good balance between doing my travels following my plans, and spending time with the host (especially cooking together!). For now all of my CS experiences have been great!

Another thing I love of meeting people with CS is the incredible variety of awesome travel stories that I have heard from my hosts, they arewonderful sources of inspiration for future travels

Interests

Travelling (bagpacking, and with any mode of transport: cycling, walking, hitchhiking), some sport (learning a bit of soccer and volleyball, not too talented at them but still trying hard), dancing carribean dances (learning Salsa, Bachata and Cha Cha Cha), some volunteering (environmental and human rights)
