Hello you,
I am currently studying abroad for a semester in Strasbourg, France. I am from Montreal, Canada. I am russian, but I was born in Canada. I am actually the first Canadian in my family. I am an independant and a spontaneous girl. I cannot stay at the same place for a very long time. I am always willing to meet new people. I am outgoing and curious. I laugh a lot. I can seem quite shy, but I'm not. I can easily go out of my comfort zone. I am a great listener. I am mostly an outdoor person, but I can also lay in bed and watch a movie. I love to help people. I used to volonteer at a center for people with suicidal thoughts in Montreal. Finally, I would love to travel the world.

I am on couchsurfing to meet new people since I am studying abroad in Strasbourg and I want to travel Europe.

Interests

I have a lot of interests. Hiking is one of my main interest. The higher the mountain, the better the challenge. Movies are also a big part of my life. Sports are important to me. I run, I swim, I climb and I started cycling. I love to go to museums. I like to sing, paint and draw. Also, I am an animal lover.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to support music from Quebec so: Jean Leloup, les Soeurs Boulays, Coeur de pirate, Groenland, Charlotte Cardin, Kaïn, Louis-Jean Cormier and others like City and Color, Kings of Leon, Angel Olsen, Lucy Dacus, Amy Winehouse, Beirut, First Aid Kit, etc. I don't really have a particular genre. I like Jazz, classical, rap, rock, pop, anything that's not too agressive.

Movies: Spirited Away, Howl's Castle, Café de Flore, Demolition, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Melancholia, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Pulp Fiction, Mommy, Goodfellas, the Wolf of Wall Street, in other words, any Martin Scorsese movie, Tarantino or Lars Von Trier.

About books, one of my favorite is "Le fusil de chasse " from Yasushi Inoué and "L'herbe rouge" from Boris Vian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once swam with a family of Turtles in clear and peaceful water.

When I was 16, my classmates and I used to sneak out of our dorms and play pool in the middle of the night in China.
