About Me

First of all: Couchsurfing is not Tinder! I'm not here to date someone or having a fling.

Hi there, I'm Eli and I'm studying Sustainable Agriculture in Kleve. Before I started studying I was traveling around Europe and New Zealand and was mainly staying with super nice and fun Couchsurfing hosts. I had the best time with them, they showed me places I would have never seen on my own and gave me a little glimpse of their lifestyle, beliefs and point of views. Now I feel it's my turn to contribute to this wonderful network and also give other people the chance to get the full experience of Couchsurfing.
I live in a big student house where we often hang out in our big garden, we cook together or have game nights.
Nonetheless, I hope I'll be also on the go again soon and find myself on some cozy couches.
See you soon :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm really inspired by the concept of Couchsurfing and I don't think there's a better way to explore the world. I can travel with a really tight budget (which is perfect for a student, haha), I get to know new people and I can experience the real culture of a country and not only the fake cultural life for tourists. Another thing I like about Couchsurfing is, that it's based on trust.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently I'm exploring the world of Indie, Funk and Alternative music. But older stuff like songs from the movie Dirty Dancing or Queen and Falco never get dull.
As I play a classical instrument, I kinda have to like classical music as well. Especially romantic composers like Faure or Saint-Saëns make me fall in love with their pieces.

When you ask me which one's my favorite book, I can give you my real answer or one that makes me seem smarter. Because yes,I love reading trashy books like Twilight but I also read more "qualified" books like To kill a Mockingbird or Perfume: The Story of a Murderer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing a two-weeks roadtrip with my best friends
Hiking in the Hardangervidda for three days all on my own
Touring around New Zealand's South Island with a (at least at first) total stranger in a tiny Toyota carib (very cosy nights though!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Bavarian words for the Oktoberfest, if you ever plan to go there :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully a great time, maybe a Bavarian dish and some good conversations about almost everything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Denmark, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
