About Me

I'm an interdisciplinary artist. My tools to tell stories usually bifurcate towards filmmaking, visual art and literature. I'm interested in relational aesthetics, confessional writings, interactive installations, political and social art.

Concerning music, I like a mix of rock, samba, argentine rock, rhythms and blues, jazz, experimental...
As an artist, I look up to Patti Smith, Agnes Varda, Joan Didion, Leonard Cohen, Clarice Lispector, Murakami, Fiona Apple, Yoko Ono, Wong Kar-Wai, Franz Kafka, Sophie Calle, Albert Camus, Louise Bourgeois...

Everything that is physical and handmade attracts me. For that reason, and other reasons, I have Penpals type of exchanges with someone in Japan, and another one in Argentina. The joy of a hand written note is undescribable, like a repetitive birthday every time there's a piece of paper addressed to my name in the mailbox.

When I travel, I like to ponder in cafés and observe people, spark conversations with strangers, sit in libraries, visit historical places, learn the language if I can, learn about the indigenous people and the cosmopolitan city and how it came to be. Travel with an intention is my preferred manner of moving around : harvesting a new skill, making a short film and by the same token seeing someone else's world...

This year, I'm learning Japanese, I'm dreaming of learning to play the piano with a jazz approach, I want to dance more tango bachata and salsa, and publish my novel... I'm a bit optimistic, yes.

Otherwise... I drink my coffee in a tiny cup, enjoy fossil hunting, obsessed by Japanese culture, tiny objects, and I enjoy recording my dreams in the morning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A traveled a lot and I am afraid the itchy feet won't stop itching.. A year of living in Europe backpacking ( I worked on a Greek island and in the Canary Islands for two summers)... It was 7 years ago that I started using CS, and Couchsurfed for the first time with strangers that felt like beautiful coincidences... Who then became people I hold very close to my heart.

I enjoy being in someone space and have a closer look at their books, their objects, the way they decorate their home... It often is a big reflection of the human nesting under the roof. Mostly, I like the spirit of couchsurfing for the pure enjoyment of entering someone else's world, sharing visions and perceptions, trading myths and traditions and having stimulating conversations. Humans are just... everything.
