About Me
IM TRAVELING UNTIL APRIL 2026, THEREFORE, I CANNOT HOST AT THE MOMENT :(
Artist, former columnist, and semi-professional hermit with occasional city flair. I’ve just moved to Colombia, where I’m writing a trilogy. I studied cinema and literature, and still believe both are the best ways to understand love and ghosts. I’ve been dancing tango for a year, and I used to ride horses. I like to enable my hands. I’ve worked with leather, clay, gave a shot to silversmithing, and spend afternoons dyeing old clothes back to life. I enjoy gardening, rearranging the earth, and what I’d really like to do is learn how to build something from the ground up—walls, doors, a home. I listen to Fiona Apple, Joe Arroyo, Estrella Morente, Patti Smith, Lhasa, Mercedes Sosa, and Julio Sosa. My bedside stack includes Borges, Cortázar, Pavese, Clarice Lispector, Paul Auster, Murakami, and Kenzaburō Ōe. I love Italian castles, rose labyrinths, handwritten letters, and Leonard Cohen’s The Goal.
When I travel, I like to ponder in cafés and observe people, spark conversations with strangers, sit in libraries, visit historical places, learn the language if I can, learn about the indigenous people and the cosmopolitan city and how it came to be. Travel with an intention is my preferred manner of moving around : harvesting a new skill, making a short film and by the same token seeing someone else's world.
I drink my coffee in a tiny cup, enjoy fossil hunting, obsessed by Japanese culture, tiny objects, and I enjoy recording my dreams in the morning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A traveled a lot and what truly makes a place special is, the people that inhabits it. And couch surfing has been the most magic and beautiful tool to meet people who have now become my best friends, and people that I associate special memories of travels with. I've backpacked and lived in Europe a long time ago (I worked on a Greek island and in the Canary Islands for two summers), and I lived for 7 years in New-Zealand right after that.
I enjoy being in someone space and have a closer look at their books, their objects, the way they decorate their home. It often is a big reflection of the human nesting under the roof. Mostly, I like the spirit of couchsurfing for the pure enjoyment of entering someone else's world, sharing visions and perceptions, trading myths and traditions and having stimulating conversations.
