I'm 56, I live in the South of France, in Toulouse and I'm a teacher. I love travelling and meeting people, discovering cultures and landscapes. I love music, books, movies, stories, art, architecture. And healthy food. And wine. Cities and nature as well. Walking. Hiking. Driving. Oceans. Mountains. I have started practising Qi Gong and meditation. Lots of things make me happy. I'd like to be a decent human being. I try to find peace. It's hard work but it's the first thing I can do to make the world better so I think it's worth the pain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been a member for 9 years but I only used couchsurfing once in NYC. I signed in because I liked the idea of it. Now I would like to really start couchsurfing because I will often go to the US to visit my older son who has settled there. I would like to explore the country but I can't always afford to stay in hotels.
And more generally, now that my sons have left my home, I'd like to widen my horizon, to discover places, the people who inhabit them, their ways of living and of thinking.
I will be able to host couchsurfers in a couple of months, when I'm done renovating my apartment..
