About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spend time exploring and adventuring and sharing with you!

ABOUT ME

I am spontaneous and adventures and hope to currently find hosts who can join me and/or inspire me on said adventures! I have a keen interest in learning all I can, especially about the environments and ecosystems I visit hoping to compare to that which I am most experienced with. I love music and sing and play wherever I am! I am tidy, respectful, quiet and rambunctious when the occasion presents itself! I love to write, reflect and grow with every moment. Silliness, play and challenging myself with questions help me thrive.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for love, and love for a living. Whether it be sharing this love through music, dance, sharing stories or simply walking down the street, I intend to share the life force that flows through me at every opportunity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many a friend, and friends of friends, in the country North of Toronto, and in Toronto, and hope to expand this network for the exploratory needs of others and my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have none! Except meeting lovely people who have referred me here. Officially, I suppose I have hosted some and have stayed at others, but not with this network...one could say as a freelance artiste!

Interests

Music. Dancing. Exploring. Learning. Growing. Story telling. Meeting wonderful people like yourselves.

Music, Movies, and Books

I believe music all comes from the same place - folk, funk, celtic, reggae, drum and bass....all of it! I love to read and often do so reading an untitled genre of stories based in a time and place to navigate my way through history whether through the fact or fiction of it all. I also love creative films but often spend more time outside or playing music...though truly some days there is nothing better than enjoying a great film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In speaking about writing this 'amazing thing' the other day I immediately reverted back to a moment when I awoke dark and early (5 am) on an isolated beach on the coast of British Columbia, and so I will write about it now. I decided to climb over the cliffs to visit the sunrise on open water, but instead heard a crashing coming from my left (beyond the cliffs) and followed it hypnotised. After climbing up and over many walls I felt the crash coming through the wall I was preparing to climb. I began and arrived at the top to see a meeting place (shaped like a "V" with me in the centre) where two ocean currents from different directions happened to meet. Every three or so waves they would come together and CRASH up against each other creating a geiser type burst of water up and over my head! It was then that an otter showed up with their infamous playful and curious manner. We preceded to laugh with each other and play something like peek a boo/hide and seek while the otter swam down and popped back up when least expected, until it was ready to swim away and did so. This experience changed my life, and was the first to come to mind so here I am sharing it with you!

Teach, Learn, Share

To share - I would like to perhaps bring stories from North America including those of the Anishnabe culture (the Traditional people of the place I call home). I would like to share my voice as I have recently recognised that I need to do so, and in doing so hope to learn the many different styles of music to explore! I also hope to share my enthusiasm for learning and the love I feel for constantly expanding my faculty of wonder.

To learn - anything and everything, cultural sayings and music, landmarks for markets and traditional cultural practices, historical stories and landmarks, a day in the life....I love to learn and soak up all that I can. I would also like to learn what I have to teach :)
