About Me

I consider myself as a traveler and a "citizen of the world". When people ask me: "Where do you come from?" I always think how to put it the easiest way possible, in order to prevent confusion with the questioner. I have many origins and therefore I can not find one single answer.

I have visited about 30 countries in my life so far (UAE, Thailand, Egypt, Armenia, Croatia, Italie, Kazakhstan ...).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love to meet new people, cultures and places. I enjoy the experiences that travel has to offer. I believe that exploring the world opens our mind so much.

Interests

I practiced drama for 2 years. I should also say that my main passion is photography. You can check this out here if you want: www.elisavetas.com
Like everyone else I like to listen to some good songs and watch films.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have several favorite books, those would be:
- Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky
- Gone with the wind by Margaret Mitchell
- Lolita by Nabokov
-The Horla by Maupassant
- The Devil and Miss Prym by Coelho

My favourite movies would be.... Snatch, Big Fish and Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and most recently Charlie Countryman, Me, myself and my mum, and Interstellar.

Music.. so hard to answer that one. Everything.. seriously. I listen to what I like. Could be Abba, The Doors, Outkast, Shakira, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Edith Piaf ....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Bangkok. It is such a peculiar city with so many unusual things for newcomers ! The flavour of street food, huge insects, BTS rush hour "intimacy", rushing tuk tuk's... Life never stops there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I experienced a lot of things from my travels, especially during my staying in Thailand. I did an internship there and had the opportunity to work with a Thai team. I learned a lot from them and the cultural tips and tricks about local life. We shared delightful moments together eating Thai food and talking about cultural differences. They are so positive! Every cloud has a silver lining for them: an admiral example to follow !

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a matter of fact, my education was mainly based on Russian culture. I can share some Russian recipes and some interesting stories. Even though I do not play any instruments and I am a horrible singer, I love music and I can always advise you to listen to some good tracks.
