ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm back in Verona! I'm enjoing my freedom and travelling as much as I can... I really like to discover new cultures, to meet and chat with people, to share ideas, suggestions (about music, films, books..) and recipies (I know, that's so Italian!).

PHILOSOPHY

Lately I'm trying my best to avoid any kind of prejudice, and look at the world around with neutral eyes...it's an hard work sometimes!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first heard about CS from a friend of mine and I found it a different and interesting way to travel. Then I did my first couchrequest since I was moving to Birmingham and I needed to find a flat...and there I've been hosting as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was really lucky: the first time I ask for hospitality trough CS I met a fantastic friend....in the end we've been sharing her flat! We were frequently hosting people and I got to know some more nice people, from all over the world!

Interests

Reading, cinema (but I also love to watch movie at home, on my couch!), music and concerts, museums, countryside, good food (I love to eat but I'm a decent cook as well) and good wine...and good friends to enjoy them even more!

Nice films I've watched recently: The Great Budapest Hotel, Only lovers left alive, Anna Karenina, Gone with the wind (yes, that one!), Gli sfiorati, Black mirror (episodes), Manderlay...
Music...mmm, many things: recently Grizzly Bear, Devendra, Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Atlas Sound but also Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, RHCP, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and co., Smashing Pumpkins, Massive Attack, Air, Bjork...a great mix!
Writers: I like Auster, Coe, Marquez, Orwell, Pennac, Dostoevskij, Zola, Simone de Beauvoir, Wu Ming, Bradbury, Robbins (I know they are quite disparate but I'm watching my bookcase..)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A beautiful rainbow and a special light arriving in Ait Benhaddou (Morocco) after a crazy journey by grand-taxi: relief and wonder...
Watching parachutists in Castelluccio di Norcia, a wonderful plateau in central Italy, sense of freedom.
A lake full of light blue icebergs (Jokulsarlon) in Iceland, surrounded by a thick fog...mystic!
