About Me

CURRENT MISSION

A native Pacific Northwesterner currently living in southern Oregon. I love the PNW and enjoy spending time both near and far.

ABOUT ME

I finished up my BA at the University of Washington where I studied urban planning and environmental geography. After college, I moved to Colorado to take a position working for a non-profit watershed group. I lived in the Southwest for about a year, and really enjoyed exploring all over Colorado, New Mexico (my favorite), Utah, and Arizona. Most recently, I've moved back to the northwest and I work in City Planning in the beautiful and wonderful Rogue Valley. In my free time I like to kayak, hike, rock climb, and sail! We also have some great bike rides in this area and I try to be on my bike whenever possible. I'm always looking for good breweries and good food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past I have both hosted and surfed. I have always had a great time couchsurfing and have nothing but great things to say about this community. Couchsurfing has provided me with the opportunity to travel while on a budget, and I'm happy to host others and provide the same experience.

Interests

Natural resources, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, good books, and good friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working with a non-profit in rural Colorado was a great experience for me. I deeply value service and giving back to your community. The area of CO I was in had little to no conservation planning, resource management, or environmental education. One great experience there was teaching local kids about their environment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could talk for a very long time about water resources, particularly in the Western United States.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Italy, Malta, Mexico
