When I was very young, I told my mom: "please teach me how to read... I want to know what the books say!". She did, and a whole new world opened up for me.
Now that I'm older, I'd say I travel for very similar reasons: I want to know what the world looks like, know about other people, other places, other ways of living. Curiosity is strong in me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think meeting people for all over the world is a very important reason for traveling. I love getting to know people and their life stories, why did they choose to live in a certain place and the things they enjoy about it. Also, I'm very open minded and always eager to try new things!

Interests

I'm an avid reader - my Kindle is my most trusted travel companion.
I really enjoy exercise and physical activities of all kinds, from climbing to Biodanza. I LOVE running so if you'd like to go for a run whenever in the world we are, you'd make me very happy! And in any case, I'm definitely open to try whatever sport you practice :-)
Food: for me trying the local cuisine is one of the main perks of traveling. It doesn't have to be anything fancy -homemade and street food are the best!
I am also a keen socializer and love to spend time with other people - I'm not a party animal, but I love going to events where I can share / learn / do something or just hang out with friends.

Books

Music: hard rock and metal are my favourite kinds of music since I was a teenager. But I'm open to other styles, specially live music :-)

Movies: I need to see more of those, but for some reason it never happens. Anyway, here are a few chosen ones:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I went to South Africa to study English when I was 19, mostly because it seemed like the most exotic place where you could do so. It was an amazing experience.
- Last summer I helped organize a camp for 23 people in the middle of the desert. We had to bring everything with us and leave no trace at the end of the camp.
- I also founded a feminist association several years ago. After considering my work done, I quit, but feminism is still an important part of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a jack of all trades, master of none... But there are a couple topics I know about and people usually find interesting:
- I have spent a great deal of time thinking about human relationships, specially alternatives to monogamy, so I can share my musings if you wish.
- Also, I have been freelancing successfully for over 4 years, so maybe I can give you some tips if you are interested :-)
