About Me

I'm brazilian and I have a lot of energy, specially when I'm travelling. I love eating and tasting different flavours, and well, I really love food.

I feel like I want to embrace the world with my whole body. I enjoy reading literature and poetry, and I study and am interested in gender, sexuality, politics and phylosophy. I am active in some political movements in my country regarding feminism and LGBT rights.

I'm usually very talkative among the people I'm comfortable with, but sometimes I get very shy and awkward. I have a strong need to express myself and I love having long conversations (maybe it's kind of a gemini thing).

I had the following profile I made with two friends of mine, when we travelled around Latin America: https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/1005403272

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing creates an amazing opportunity to exchange, to share with people that are open and will welcome you wherever they are. This connection with people is something you won't find in a hotel or in any other 'touristic' environment.

I've had some couchsurfing experiences and they just made me sure of what I am doing here. I met some incredible people and places, and now I just wish I could have spent more time with all of them. They have my grattitude and affection.

Interests

Meeting new people around the world, listening to lots of kinds of music, travelling, reading. I love dancing, eating, having long walks, sightseeing, sitting on Cafes and relaxing. I want to deepen my knowledge about different cultures and people, feel closer to them, experience them not just as a tourist, but as a person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel really uncomfortable with this because I don't think anyone should feel kind of "more special" for doing anything for themselves or for others, I believe that should be natural, not something to be congratulated for. So "amazing" makes me feel a little uncomfortable but ok.

One of these days I was at home and the postman rang the door to deliver something. When I went there, he asked me if I had any book I could donate for him because he lived in a very poor neighborhood in my city and he was trying to open a library for the people and specially the children and teenagers there. I suddenly felt very excited because I realized that YES I had many books I could totally give away and I knew they could enjoy it much more then I was. I went upstairs and together with my mother we selected a lot of books and filled up two bags. He waited for 15 minutes. When he saw all the books, it was really clear how touched he was and how happy he felt. He thanked me a lot and told me that when we meet again he is going to bring me a t-shirt made by him. He had a gentle and very warm energy, I was really happy. I hope I can meet him again and hear about how is the library going. I hope these books are in better use right now.
