Overview
About Me
I hope to live till at least 140 years- that's how short I think an average life is and how much in the world there is to learn and experience.
My values and the causes I believe in are what guides my life: socio-economic equality, gender equality, environmental sustainability, compassion and justice.
I love travelling to feel out of my comfort zone and to reap whatever adventures may come my way.
I work for a human rights NGO in Malaysia which has, in a short span of 6 months, given me a ton of learning experiences and now, opportunities for travel! In my work, I engage and assist women, refugees and migrants, widening my eyes to even more than I thought I knew.
A few of my aspirations are to travel through my work in the social sector (goal: never in a single country for more than 7 years straight), start a social enterprise (on eco sustainable and fair trade garments), reach the peak of my NGO career as a disaster relief humanitarian worker, serve as a press secretary to a high profile politician and become a policymaker in my home country.
What can I say?
I aspire to be a change maker and have a ton of fun while I'm at it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of being able to connect with pleasant people around the world and really learn about what makes them who they are and the adventures and experiences they have had.
Interests
I am interested in so many things and the list is endless.
Basically, I love learning and improving myself.
While some days, I enjoy my alone time to catch up on some Netflix and news, I spend a portion of my free time explaining my favourite place in the world, Kuala Lumpur city and its little gems.
I barely ever turn down a chance to grab coffee over some good conversation or a fun night out at a club/live music scene.
I'm lucky that my work takes me to places and gives me the experience to learn more about world issues and to engage in politics on a local and international level.
I love to expand my knowledge on human rights, foreign cultures, economics, world politics, environmental issues, among many others.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach as much as I know on topics such as gender issues, human rights, human trafficking, labour rights and animal rights.
I love South East Asia and would be up to share as much as I know about this beautiful Asian region I call home. My Malay is pretty bad but I could share a few words here and there as well as great things to do in Malaysia.
I would love to learn about different cultural perspectives from meeting different people, as well as other people's view on how we can make the world a better place. It'd also be a pleasure if I could learn from others, their prior experiences or current knowledge in entrepreneurship, economics, politics, volunteering or activism.
I also love to hear about the adventures people have had in their travels and time spent locally.
