Overview
About Me
I'm Elise, French-Venezuelan living in Brittany.
Couchsurfing is NOT a dating app for me. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR HOOKUPS OR DATES OR ROMANCES. I am not single and I am not interested in any romance or dating experience in any way.
Don't host me if you have this kind of intentions.
If you send me a message that is just a copy and paste of messages you send to everyone without checking my profile first, I'll refuse to host you. Checking a profile and reading about my conditions just take 2 minutes. I really value someone who takes the time to do that when they first contact me. I can welcome people who show their will to have a true connection with me. But I cannot welcome someone who is just using me to crash at my place just to save cost from a hotel room.
About me and my philosophy :
I grew up in French overseas territories all my life.
I've traveled the world since I'm a kid, and I hope I can go on doing it for as long as possible.
I'm quite adaptable, open-minded, easy going and curious. I am both extroverted and introverted, but I sure love to meet new people and share amazing and blissful memories.
*** Long story incoming ***
Freedom of mind and body is the most important thing for me. I am a free woman, trying to be happy, curious about the world, and pushing the limits of my comfort zone. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. As I travel solo on this planet, I see how small we, humans, are, in front of the power of nature. As I meet new people, I understand how my thoughts and opinions are so insignificant in front of the infinite amount of persons with their own minds and their own point of view. As I carry myself on my feet, walking down the paths of my several trips, I experience different things, good and bad, and I discover a new part of me that makes me a new person, forever changing and evolving.
''Lo que cambió ayer
Tendrá que cambiar mañana
Así como cambio yo
En esta tierra lejana'', as Mercedes Sosa sings.
This hard and cold truth also comes with bliss and joy though. The surprises can be good or bad, the uncertainty can be stressful and exciting, the path is long but enjoyable. What matters is that I have my freedom. I can choose my path, I can choose my life and my actions (even though karma - or mektoub - can be a bitch sometimes). Acknowledging this, I try to celebrate every life event as a step forward, in my journey toward happiness.
''Merci pour les roses, merci pour les épines'', as Jean d'Ormesson said.
Amis Quimpérois et alentours :
Je suis actuellement toujours en train d'apprendre le dialecte arabe marocain, après avoir vécu un an au Maroc. Je souhaite rencontrer des Marocains qui pourraient m'aider à continuer et pratiquer pour ne pas que j'oublie tout ce que j'ai appris pendant un an. N'hésitez pas à me contacter, je vous recevrai avec plaisir.
Chokrane bzzzzeeeefff!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new at this! So forgive me for my lack of awareness if it happens.
If I can be of any help during your journey in Quimper, don't hesitate to contact me.
I also know how CS can be a risky place for women, and I hope my place can be as comfortable as possible for you. I will give you some personal space because I think that is very important even in this context (I need a bit of my personal space too after a while, you know, social batteries and everything).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sailing to Vanuatu with my family. We used to own a sailboat when we lived in New Caledonia. We would sail all around my island to get to remote paradisiac beaches. During the holidays, we went to Vanuatu with a sailor friend. For several days, we met with the local people, walked up a volcano, and made incredible memories. I'm in love with this way of life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn new languages! I'm currently taking courses in Moroccan, and I used to learn some Russian. So if you can help me practice it while you stay, it would be great.
I love photography, movie making, travel documentaries... If you have a blog, photos, movies, or anything to share your journey with me, while we drink some tea, I think that would make great memories.
I personally love drawing, painting, and creating small pieces of watercolor art. I'm no expert, but if you enjoy it too, why not show me your skills ?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a pretty good knowledge of nice places to visit, if you enjoy beaches or forests in the calm countryside of Brittany. My family is from there, I come there regularly and I really enjoy the landscapes.
I can show you those places in a road trip if you have a car !
I know the good local restaurants, the markets, the activities that can be fun in the area. If you need some tips or recommendations, I'm your guy.
