Overview
About Me
"Lacking the eagle's cunning or the wisdom of the sparrow
where shall I turn, drowning in sorrow ?
Who will know what the trees know, the spidery patience
of young maple or what the willows confess ?
Let me be water. The heart pours out in waves.
Listen to what the water says.
Wind, be a friend.
There's nothing I couldn't forgive."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To break the dynamic of mercantile and self-seeking exchanges in which this money-fetishizing capitalistic system traps us !! And, well, also because I like to meet kind people :)
Interests
Social sciences, political ecology, social and ecological activism, music and litterature.
Besides, I would like to become a teacher and I feel very concerned by pedagogical issues and equality at school (which begins with social justice).
I also like to cook, to walk in forests, mountains and beautiful cities, to chill at bookshops... I like to do things whith my hands, even if I'm not usually very good at those. I think even ideas should be practiced and stroken with the hand. I like to write letters to my friends, to hug people and to feel the fragility of human beings.

Music, Movies, and Books
I think music is an important part of my life. I'm mostly into ambiant and doom music (drone, experimental, post-rock, shoegaze...). I could mention Grouper, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Nadja, Father Murphy, Loscil, Coil, Land Observations, Barn Owl, Raphael Anton Irisarri, Set Fire To Flames, Nils Frahm, Pan American... I'm also in love with a french band called Mendelson whose songs have changed my life.
Some of my favourite movies are Au hasard Balthazard, The Mother and the Whore, Dancer in the dark, Persona, The Leopard, Persepolis...
To situate my tastes in literature, I like to say that I am much more into Céline than Proust and that I have a preference for Dostoyevsky over Tolstoy (I like Tolstoy very much, still !).
I like to read powerful books that can act as "the axe for the frozen sea within us" (Kafka).
I love to read poetry (Eluard, Rimbaud, Char, Michaux, Bonnefoy) and learn it by heart, I like the feeling of getting into my head little pieces of the books I love .
As regards philosophy, I especially like the caustic style of Bertrand Russell and the gentle prose of Bachelard.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a little bit of Esperanto if you're interested in it. You can acquire basic skills pretty quickly !
My mother will also be able to teach you a lot about botany and edible wild plants.
I would be very interested to learn some Greek, Turkish or Arabic !
I'm also very interested in experimenting alternative forms of traveling (I don't want to take plane anymore), if you have any advice related to that, I would be very happy to hear it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show you our garden (cultivated according to the permaculture principles) and our two hens, Antigone and Ismène, cook for you vegetarian and organic food and talk with you about all the things that are close to your heart.
Countries I’ve Visited
