About Me

I am a Canadian student who has been living in the Netherlands for the past 4 months. I will be here until June and just discovered couch surfing!

Unfortunately I have had to switched to "not accepting guests" as I have gotten loads of requests and need to reply/see who I can fit in. I also have final exams coming up so things are quite busy, and will be leaving the Netherlands at the end of May!

I am planning to travel through Europe a bit before I head back to Canada in August, and think that the best way to do so is by meeting kind humans along the way. I am happy to host before I leave the Netherlands! Amsterdam is a wonderful city and one I have gotten to know well during my short time here. I can show you some really gezellig spots, or simply give you a bed to crash on and let you do your thing. I love to cook and share good food, so you can expect a hot meal any evening you are staying with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I appreciate getting to see a place from the perspective of someone who knows it well. I love to meet new people, share stories and food.

Interests

I study history, literature, political theory, and sociology at university. I am passionate about learning and hope to someday become a teacher, whether it be as a professor or teaching at a high school level. I love to read and write, especially poetry and fiction. I like to spend as much time as I can outside. I try and grow my some of own food wherever I am living long enough to do so/I love to garden! I enjoy painting and drawing, swimming, hiking, biking, etc. I am also a certified yoga teacher and would be happy to teach you!
