Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can teach you some French, and of course I'll be more than happy to talk about my culture and yours. I can also Bake/cook yummy French stuff!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I discovered couchsurfing while I was on a road trip in the US with some friends. We were there for over a month, and to put it simple, we would never have been able to do this trip if couchsurfing didn't exist. It's from far the best way to really discover a city: my hosts have always being very welcoming and taking us to the good spots we shouldn't miss. I just love the concept. Staying with locals is the only way to get an authentic experience. You learn a lot and you meet AMAZING people. Since then, I have couchsurfed in a bunch of different places: always a blast!
Interests
Travelling (but which couchsurfer doesn't?), speaking English, meeting people from different countries, reading, going to the movies, partying, hanging out with my friends, baking, hiking, studying in cosy cafés, going to concerts, ice skating (Canada convinced me!), etc etc...this list really has no end!
Music, Movies, and Books
A mixed-bag of everything from the Beatles, Leonard Cohen, George Brassens, Janis Joplin, Patrice, Santana, Lou Reed, Kavinsky, and many guilty pleasure songs that I should be ashamed of enjoying!
Books: classics from French and Americain literature mostly, with a growing interest for Native-American literature.
Movies: Charlie Chaplin is my man!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumping into a pool of frozen water in Lapland in the middle of the winter, after rolling myself into snow in my bikini. Chilly!
