About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy my life the fullest!
ABOUT ME
My friends will say that I really enjoy my life. I'm always busy planning the most exciting trips around the world and have a good time with my friends. I’m very energetic, open minded & love to meet people from around the world. I also love to get off the beaten track and experience the hidden secrets from every country and city. Sunsets and sunrises are my favorite moments of the day. As a real Dutchy I love to explore the city by bike. I like extreme sports and I'm excited to try out new things. From bungee jumping, eating the strangest local food, to hiking high mountains, diving the deep seas or going to the best local festivals. I'm very interested in learning new languages or the local slang and would love to learn you some Dutch words too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed once in Munich in 2012, Germany with Octoberfest. I loved the experience to party with the locals and get to know the secret places of the city.
and in 2015 I went Couchsurfing through Australia on my 6 weeks East coast trip. It started as a joke to stay with locals for a period of two months. But somehow it worked out perfectly! I've met the most amazing people & if I didn't use couchsurfing, I stayed with old travel buddies along the way. So now I've couchsurfed in Australia, Hong Kong, Bali, Germany & Italy. And way more to come ;)!!
It's a great experience to meet the most fun people and get to know the best secrets of every city! I would recommend it to everyone
Interests
As a flight attendent I fly around the world. At the destination I love to get to know the culture & get out of the touristic crowd to explore the real local people. Besides I love surfing, snowboarding and horse back riding. And of course TRAVELING 💖

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all different kinds of music. In my country electrical music is number one and I can really enjoy this at an amazing festival in summer. Besides when I'm traveling I love the Spanish music like bachata and merengue as it gives me a happy feeling of summer. Too bad my bachata dance moves aren't the best yet. But love to learn more! Besides that I actually really enjoy any kind of music. If there's a good vibe in the club, bar or festival I will love it anyway!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are actually too many amazing things I have done! I really love all of them and would love to tell you about my experiences. But a few of my favorites are:
Celebrating carnival in Rio de Janeiro. The vibe of the blocos (street parties) is amazing. Great atmosphere, live music and fun outfits.
Going to Salvador, Brazil for the world cup with work. Saw the match holland-Spain. Which was the best match ever as we won with 5-1! The vibe in the stadium was craZyyy!!
Sleeping on the wooden floor in a monastery in Myanmar. Officially it was not allowed to stay in the monastery but luckily for us they made an exception. Me and my friend slept on a bamboo mat on the floor. At 0600 you got woken up by the singing of the monks for their prayers in the morning.
Experiencing the Holi Festival in Nepal. Throwing coloured powder in each other faces together with the locals was so much fun. Little kids are running around with water guns and everyone is enjoying the party.
I loved to climb the Machu Pichu mountain. It was an exhausting trip up with lots of scary old steps, but amazing views. Especially the view of the Machu Pichu ruines with all the mysterious clouds around it was awesome!!
And last January I visited a very poor town in Gambia. Went to a school there, where I was the 5th tourist the kids had ever seen. It was quiet amazing how happy and excited these children were when we walked in. Every kid wanted to touch you, feel my blond hair & they all were so happy in these poor conditions. I was very happy I could help them a little with my writing books & pens I brought. Really nice experience!
