About Me

CURRENT MISSION

using this community to the fullest and making it easier for people to travel around the world, experience new cultures and meet new people (I guess that would be me)

ABOUT ME

I think that if you'd first meet me you would say that I laugh too much. I can also be really weird sometimes. But in a good way. I love experiencing new things, and meet new people, and (maybe shockingly) I like to go out of my comfortzone. Isn't that where all the interesting things happen? Hobbywise also like literature, sports (in nature), festivals and most of all music. I think I'm interesting to have a conversation with (which is nice if you host/get hosted by people,no?)

Sidenote, I have actually couchsurfed a lot especially in my gap year, however this was done through my friend's profile, hence the absence of a multitude of references. Feel free to view her profile (Anna, to be found under friends) if you are uncertain on my reputation as possible serial killer/compulsive liar :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is such an amazing concept! Who doesn't love this, totally win-win

Interests

Different cultures and people really draw my attention. I love meeting new people and I love spending time with them. Life's about learning so I would like to go to as much places as I can and collect all kinds of experiences which will enrich me and make me a better person.

also tea and books are something you make me incredible happy with. To quote C S Lewis on this: "You cannot get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ehhh one well.. the time I went to the bushbush of Indonesia to help out by volunteering, that was definately the best couple of weeks of my life :) apart from that, in the same trip I backpacked across Australia, New Zealand and some more of Asia and it was absolutely incredible. If you like traveling we could totally bond over this

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach Dutch I guess...? I could also welcome you in the world of biomedical sciences which i find so so interesting but not sure whether you're keen on this; I know myself to go bananas over the elegant mechanism behind DNA replication for instance, or just life!!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Affection for music (I play the drums, sing and can play a bit of guitar and ukulele), nature, literature, traveling and so much more. Also I can cook a bit which is nice.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
