About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live life to the full, make this world a more sustainable place, travel , make friends from all over the world

ABOUT ME

I'm high on life, having quit my job in Australia and moved to New Zealand because why not?! A country three hours from home with mountains and the ocean has been calling me for years. Im going to work in conservation and do all the outdoors activities that I love like camp, hike, trail run, ski, snowshoe, plus meet beautiful travellers along the way.
Im friendly and simply love to laugh and smile. Love to explore new cities and towns and meet locals who know the best spots to hang out.
I embrace local culture where ever I go and am learning as much Maori language and culture as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, dream, hope, adventure the world, laugh, love and be happy. Never look back, always do what you love every day you can because time is short and we are here to make a difference!

Like many others, I am hoping to leave the world in a better natural state than when I came into it. It's a very small hope but one that I cling on to and work hard to achieve in my conservation career.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I Couchsurf so that I can have a different experience to that in a hostel. To have a local or fellow traveller welcome me into their home, sharing food and stories, lending tips and tricks, is a very special experience and one that I am grateful to have had in my travels.

Stayed in an open house with ten other backpackers and ten locals in Vancouver = crazy time!

Made great friends in Canada - taken around cities and went for night time hikes in the snow.

Stayed with the coolest group of house mates in New York City - five friendly, eclectic, fun people and two cute puppies.

When I get home I can't wait to host, to share my city with others, to give back

Interests

Top two - live music and travelling (of course)
Playing and listening to music sparks something in my soul
Football, beach, snorkelling, yoga, trail running, skiing, scuba diving, playing music- brass, drums and piano, live music concerts, festivals, go out to bars, meet new people of course
