I am in my late twenties and grew up in Michigan. Moved down south to Georgia and have resided thereabouts ever since. I went to the University of Georgia and majored in Fisheries and Wildlife Management. I jumped around from various seasonal jobs (aquarium intern, sea turtle technician, environmental educator) for a few years before becoming an endangered (or protected) species observer.
I absolutely love exploring new areas. I like seeing things from a locals eye instead of as a tourist. Thus, I don't really enjoy doing all the touristy things.
I am passionate about sea turtles, nature, wildlife, the environment, etc. I am easy going and like to meet new people.

I love immersing myself into different cultures. I enjoy site seeing and doing touristy things, but I really enjoy just wandering around a city and really getting to know it. I think a lot of people often overlook that when going to a new area.

I also love meeting people from all over the world. I travel alone a lot of the time because most of my friends don't have the luxury (or don't make time) to get up and travel. Thus, traveling can get lonely and I am not someone who can easily go up to a group of strangers and become friends. Couchsurfing allows me to meet people who I probably never would have had the chance to meet otherwise.

I would one day love to host people, but as of now, I don't have the means to. I am gone a lot and when I am home it is only for a few days before I go off on another job. Hopefully, in a year, I will be able to share my home with others!
