ABOUT ME

I am married with a son born in 2013 and another one due soon! My husband is a grad student and I am a speech-language pathologist in the Lexington, Kentucky area. We both have a love for traveling and we hope our son and 2nd baby will too. We are into playing sports with the main ones being ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and climbing, but we like them all. We are easy going people and love making new friends nationally and internationally.

PHILOSOPHY

I love thinking that the best influences in my life are people that live up to a morally high standard while still having a crazy unique personality and are outgoing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed a little in 4 different countries in Europe, We would like to host, but sadly no ones comes to our tiny town Wilmore, Kentucky. Right now we aren't hosting anyone as we are expecting our second baby. Hopefully when we live over seas we'll live in a place where we will host often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was the best. Peter from Germany not only gave us a bed, but cooked us meals, showed us around the town, and is now a good friend.

I've surfed in Milano and Lake Como in Italy.
My very favorite was surfing in Thun, Switzerland with a family. We ended up not wanting to leave! I loved them!

My experience is ten times better when I meet people, and couch surfing allows a way to meet someone new.

Intereses

I have the most random list of interest which include climbing, biking, quilting, coffee, and gardening. My husband loves watching and playing any type of sport, and my interest is growing.

Música, películas y libros

I like pretty much all music except heavy metal - I just can't do it. I love alternative, worship, country, and r&b (if it isn't absolute trash). I've been reading all types of books lately. Anything from biographies to fiction to futuristic novels to mysteries.

I've been inside a Gypsie colony, where they showed me their house made of thatch ceilings and cow dung floors, but they were extrememly happy regardless of their living conditions.

I've seen Africa from the very most southern tip of Europe, and I've eaten in the restaurant with the highest altitude in Europe.

I've seen and assisted several natural births in a midwifery clinic in the Philippines, and sat on the dirt floor talking with women cooking their dinners in boiling pots over a stick fire in Haiti.
