About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to learn as much as I can, love others as often as I can and explore this amazing world while honoring myself, the planet and those I meet along the way!

ABOUT ME

I currently live in Ohio for a few months before moving to Seattle, WA in the winter. My partner and I along with our two children are staying with my mom before our move. I am an opera singer and travel a lot with our children. The next few months will be traveling, but after the new year when we get grounded in Seattle, we will happily start hosting again!
Along with singing opera and teaching voice lessons and yoga, I'm also a Mom to a 4 year old son and infant daughter. I love traveling and meeting new people and believe that life is all about living, not acquiring, and taking risks.
I love to cook and am a hardcore foodie and coffee fanatic. I'm clean, outgoing, adventurous, funny, love pets, don't smoke, and am not really into the party scene but enjoy going out for some nice wine and food.
I'm a yoga teacher and have a morning meditation practice. I consider myself a lover of all walks of life and practice non-harm and non-judgement. I'm kind, but I also think I'm pretty funny :-)
I'm a classical pianist, opera singer, rock climber, teacher, autodidact, cook, and lover of languages. I love to get to know funny, kind, open minded and creative people.

PHILOSOPHY

Living life to the fullest, learning every day, making space for others to grow, being kind, accepting all other thoughts and philosophies and growing from them, never judging, being full of love, universal oneness of the universe and all who inhabit our world, realizing that there is so much we will never know and cannot possible know and embracing our own oneness with each other

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just traveled to France and Germany for 2 weeks and couchsurfed the whole time. It was life changing and wonderful to be able to meet people who were so kind, generous and giving of their time and homes. What an incredible website! I have hosted a few people while I lived in San Francisco and am planning on surfing during my trip to the Netherlands this fall.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted 2 people and really enjoyed the experience of meeting someone new who you wouldn't meet any other way! I think all the time about how amazing it is that there are billions of people on the planet and our day to day network of people is so small. What an amazing this couchsurfing is! It allows us to expand our network just to invite one more person into our lives. How beautiful is that!

Music:
Wow...too much. Obviously opera, but also like 70's rock, old school country/blue grass, folk/soft rock folk of today...Ingrid Michaelson, Katie Havenevick, John Legend, Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, Reba McEntyre, Elton John, The Beatles, Bens Brother. TOO MUCH SHIT TO LIST!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Angkor Watt, hiking through Vancouver, Montreal (I LOVE CANADA), San Francisco and Seattle, meditating on a cliff along side the ocean here in San Francisco, performing in front of hundreds of people, swimming in the ocean, exploring waterfalls in Hawaii, hiking over really old lava fields to get to a secret beach in Hawaii. Camping under the stars after a 2 day hike up through Oregon! Wandering through Paris alone. Sitting by the rivers in Lyon listening to music. Being alone in café's in France, yet never once feeling lonely. Realizing that the only thing I actually need lives deep within my soul and can be accessed at any time...all I need to do is listen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of the English language, how to sing, how to play the piano, yoga, good recipes, homeopathic healing, energy work, how to make herbal concoctions, opera
I speak French quite well and can share that.
I want to get to know as many people as possible because deep down we are all actually really similar. I want to share philosophies, ideas, hopes and dreams
