Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel, learn, meet people, and get outside as often as possible
ABOUT ME
My comfort zone is outside my comfort zone. I love solo travel, camping, hitchhiking, and meeting people along the way. There's no feeling like going somewhere you've never been and letting plans take shape as you go. I also love Earth science, and I'm always after seasonal jobs that let me live in crazy new places while doing work related to climate change.
PHILOSOPHY
Keep exploring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel a lot, often alone, and love meeting people along the way. I don't really make plans when I go somewhere- I've found the best play is to meet people and figure it out from there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've lived with people who've hosted people- always a neat experience, for host and traveler alike.
Interests
Backpacking, science, classic rock, actual rocks, writing, skiing, craft beer... the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Five months working on the Greenland ice sheet. What an amazing, unworldly place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always down to talk science, either sharing what I've studied/where I've worked or learning about other fields. I practice my French whenever I get the chance. I'm trying to learn more about wine and beer making, since winery work is a great way to see the world and homebrewing is just awesome. I can teach you chess or cross-country skiing, give camping tips, and help with English!
