About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling around the country seeing friends and meeting interesting people. Searching for wifi and outlets.

ABOUT ME

The highlight of this last year has been having adventures across the country and making some amazing new friends.

I'm a fantastic cook and would be happy to cook you dinner! I also make an amazing cup of home-roasted coffee.

I spend most of my time working on games for my startup. I've started giving talks on entrepreneurship, and am always happy to talk about startup life and business development.

I'm also very passionate about Social Entrepreneurship - creating social good via innovation. I'm thinking about how to apply that to my current projects.

You can learn more about me by:

PHILOSOPHY

Be good to people and have fun. Live life without regret. Create beautiful whimsical things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking forward to hosting guests when I'm in one place for an extended time. For now, I'm getting to know other couchsurfers and meeting new people when I couchsurf! I met my best friend through Couchsurfing so I'm definitely a fan of the project.

I appreciate the genuine heart that has gone into building this community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had an amazing time couchsurfers in Silicon Valley and am looking forward to my next trip - which is to Boston.

I've hosted a bunch of people at my place in Queens, but it wasn't done through Couchsurfing officially.

Interests

I spend most of my time working on my startup - http://memberofthetri.be

Travel, of course!

Comedy. I love stand up and co-produced the musical comedy show "Big in Japan" in downtown nyc. We were one of TimeOut NY's top picks.

I like DIY (do it yourself) projects and spent a year perfecting the art of making sourdough bread. I roast my own coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

I was very absorbed in the Steve Jobs biography.

Most of my other reading right now relates to business planning, but I love sci-fi and "Soon I Will Be Invincible" has been a charming read so far.

I used to watch too much tv, now I see a reasonable amount. I am embarrassed to admit how much I enjoy just about anything produced by the USA Network.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Roasting coffee for the first time.
Burning Man.
First time I saw a chipmunk. I'd never lived in the country before
and I thought it was the cutest, strangest animal that I'd ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good at teaching different cooking techniques and how to bake bread or roast coffee.

I'm also somewhat technical, so I can usually teach or help out with relatively simple tech stuff.

I want to learn Spanish and I'm currently learning Ruby on Rails.
