About Me

French & Japanese, born in France, raised in Germany and now studying in the UK.
Squash & Badminton player and sports fanatic allround, I have a travel bug, meaning most of my disposable income goes on exploring new places.

Big foodie, especially when it comes to local cuisines, I love taking home recipes wherever I go!

I also collect postcards and have over 200 - take that as you like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Staying with locals is much more fun than in a hotel, and being small I fit on couches easily so don't have a problem with comfort. Also, being a student means every penny is precious!

Interests

Culture/Languages (teach me, I'll do my best!)

Squash, Badminton, Football (let's not talk teams in case we disagree), Skiing, Sailing, Rugby, Anything you can explain the rules of to me

Food - Experiencing it, cooking, baking. Bonus points if you can show me, I'll share my knowledge in return!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really bad at remembering names of things I've watched/listened to/read... So my Top 3 in each will have to do.

Music: Alternating between Tropical House, Reggaeton, Indie Rock and Classical at the moment

Movies: American History X, My Neighbour Totoro, The Help

Books: To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee; Picknick auf dem Eis - Andrej Kurkow; Brave New World - Aldous Huxley

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited rural China whilst living in Beijing. We went to remote places where locals taught us their traditions, foods and were shown secret historical spots.
As for the rest, I'm much better at remembering stories in the middle of random conversations!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories and anecdotes, cooking and teaching any of the languages I speak.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, France, Germany, United Kingdom
