Hello, hola, namaste

I'm Elissia and I'm from Cornwall (South West England) but currently living in London. I'm 20 years old and have just finished my first year studying Film Production at West London University. I love music, film, photography, the sea, sunshine, nature, health & fitness, and new adventures! I am really interested in learning more about sustainable living and how to completely care for the environemnt. I have been vegan for a year and love this lifestyle; I am a complete foodie so love to cook and experiment with new foods and dishes. I have a huge passion for yoga and would love to develop my practise, I also would love to incorporate more meditation into my life.

Cornwall is a beautiful coastline county at the very bottom of the UK, when here, I love to go on long walks and hikes with my two dogs, spend lots of time in the sea and on the coast, swimming, surfing and kayaking. When in London, I spend a lot of my time producing or watching film for my course; my main interest in the film world is documentary and I hope to produce many in my lifetime. When I'm not occupied with Uni, I love to go to the gym and train, swim and take part in yoga classes, and party and watch live music.

Last year I did some travelling around Asia, I visited Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and Vietnam. I had such an amazing experience in each country; I took part in some volunteer work such as teaching natives how to speak English and working in a bar in Goa. India and Sri Lanka have definitely stolen my heart, and I have plans of returning to both as soon as I can.

I have always loved visiting Spain, and have loved learning about the culture since I first started learning the language at secondary school. However, I have only ever visited Spain for a holiday environment, but what I really want is to experience more of the county (less touristy stuff) and to be pro-active, helping others, while learning about things I'm passionate about and meeting new people at the same time. I love Latin American music and also Spanish guitar. I also love Spanish dancing and would love to learn some! One of my favourite film directors is Pedro Almodovar, and I really enjoy Spanish cinema and am excited to study it further. I love the foods you can grow in Spain, and would be very interested in learning how to grow them. I am a big fan of olives and red wine! I'm currently taking Spanish lessons, with hope to improve my language skills and to one day be able to speak the beautiful language fluently. In February 2018, I will be moving to Barcelona for a few months to continue studying Film Production.

Música, películas y libros

I love too many different types of music and films to choose favourites. But a selection of films I love would be...Donnie Darko, Pulp Fiction and City of God. I'm a huge fan of documentaries as well, particularly focussing on the environment, veganism, yoga, meditation, and other countries and cultures.
My favourite book would be Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts.
